What to Check:
Even if a wheel is labeled “17″ supermoto,” that doesn’t automatically guarantee it fits your bike. Here’s what you must verify:
Hub spacing / Axle size
The width and diameter of the axle must match your fork / swingarm. If your bike uses a 20 mm front axle, a wheel with different axle may not fit without adapters or modifications.
Rotor mounting / brake compatibility
The new wheel must accept the same brake rotor size and mounting pattern (bolt circle, number of bolts). You may need rotor adapters or re-drilled rotor mounts. Also, caliper clearance must be okay.
Drive side / Sprocket / Chain offset
The rear wheel’s hub must properly align the sprocket/chain side so the chain line stays correct. The rear hub should match your sprocket mounting (e.g. bolt pattern, offset).
Hub width (over locknut dimension)
Especially for rear: the hub must fit within your swingarm spacing. If the new hub is wider or narrower, that will change chain alignment or may not fit.
Bearing compatibility
The wheel’s bearings (inner and outer) must match the axle dimension and hub shell design or be swapped.
Torque / load / strength
The wheel must be strong enough to handle your power, weight, impacts, etc. Supermoto rims take more stress on pavement than a light dirt wheel.
Tire size / rim width
The rim width must suit the tire sizes you intend to run (e.g. 70/90-17, 90/80-17, etc). Unsuitable width can lead to poor tire profile or safety issues.
